The Woodside School Example
Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme are the sole transport provider of Special Educational Needs pupils to and from Woodside School in Belvedere. Under the Special Educational Needs framework agreement made with London Borough of Bexley, we have reduced the numbers of buses going in to Woodside School from 24 to 11 by scheduling larger buses seating up to 16 children to replace small people carriers taking 6-7 pupils at a time. This reduction in vehicle use, combined with the use of trackers in our buses and up to date Microsoft Map-point software has achieved a large financial saving to London Borough of Bexley.
This service is supported by, and works in agreement with, the London Borough of Bexley.
