Bexley Accessible Transport Scheme have made history with the 938 Bus Service. We are the first community transport organisation to be granted a permit from Transport for London to operate a bus route. The Bus operates as a public service but is small, friendly and easily accessible to encourage use by our members.
The 938 Bus runs between Erith and Bexleyheath via Crayford. It stops at Townley Road, Victoria Scott Court sheltered housing scheme and Hall Place in Bourne Road.
The 938 is operated on a section 22 London Service permit.
“One of our core aims is to fill in the grey areas on the periphery of public transport provision in Bexley, in areas without a mainstream bus service. The 938 helps to connect some of these grey areas.”
